our Founder
Norman Oliver
Against all odds Mr. Norman Oliver
constantly inspires everyone he comes in contact with. His entire
soul is dedicated to improving the lives of others.
Over
the years Mr. Oliver has employed several individuals including
family and friends, providing each of them with full time well paying
jobs. This year alone he was able to raise over $50,000 to help
our children, churches, and abandoned communities throughout Delaware.
He is an awesome young man who has pulled himself up by the bootstraps.
He continues to ignite the passion and give hope to others through
his kindness. Norman M. Oliver is a great leader in the City of
Wilmington and the State of Delaware. He graduated from Delaware
State University in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Nor Enterprises:
His company, Nor-Enterprises, is one of the only providers in the
State of Delaware to offer Supplemental Educational Services [SES]
which includes free tutoring and after-school assistance to low-income
families. Nor-Enterprises provides real options to families to improve
their children's academic performance and hold schools accountable.
It is a vital element of school reform and improvement. Other services
offered are educational consulting services. Mr. Oliver's organization
has been retained by each of the Northern New Castle County school
districts to assist with reaching young boys and girls who need
encouragement to succeed. He provides over 3,000 children with numerous
life services such as mentoring, tutoring, fun activities, counseling,
computer training, and jobs skills. Housing, food, & clothing
are always available free of charge through his foundation. In 2006
he opened additional businesses and bought real estate to provide
families in our community with much needed homes and employment.
In September 2006, he purchased a bus so that the children of Wilmington,
DE would not have to pay for public transportation to various activities.

holding his seat on city council, Norman was elected as Chair of
Wilmington's Democratic Party and has been a part of Delaware's

successful Lobbyist.
